MRL PEGASO

MRL PEGASO lifts are the evolution of the experience gained at CMAlifts and represent the ideal and versatile solution in terms of vertical transportation. The MRL PEGASO and MRL PEGASO DUE lift models differ from traditional electric lifts because of the absence of the machinery room: the entire lift, in effect, is located inside the hoistway.

THE MOTOR

The permanent magnet motor without gearbox is positioned in the headroom, directly on the guide rails, while the lift controller is located inside a cabinet installed next to the doorframe of the top landing door. MRL PEGASO and MRL PEGASO DUE conform to EN81-20&50, EN81-1, as well as to Directive 2014/33/EU and Directive 2014/30/UE on Electromagnetic Compatibility.

SPACE SAVING

The lift is entirely located inside the hoistway, supported exclusively by the guide rails, which means there is no need for load-bearing beams to be fixed to the walls of the compartment, nor any specific masonry work, this way saving precious space otherwise intended for the machinery room. Compared to the oil-hydraulic lift plants, these lifts are faster and absorb less electrical power.

AESTHETICS

The service cabinet, positioned next to the top landing door, can be realized in the same materials, and finishes as those of the landing doors, as well as it features a reduced depth.

COMFORT

Thanks to its gearless motor and frequency speed control ensured by an inverter of advanced technology, greater driving comfort and total silence are achieved both in the lift car and in the building.

USE

Ideal for use in public, private, industrial, and commercial buildings, where particularly intense traffic is expected, as well as a greater performance requirement in serving a higher number of rides.

EFFICIENCY

Improved system efficiency, reduction in the installed power and absorbed electricity, resulting in energy conservation, in terms of both consumption and fixed costs. Lower mechanical stress and motor temperature.

GREEN

Neither oil nor lubricants are used for their operation, unlike, for example, in oil-hydraulic lift plants. Moreover, except for the electronic parts and the magnets of new-generation motors, subject to specific disposal requirements, the entire lift plant is recyclable.

MADE IN ITALY

As with all CMAlifts creations, this is an all-Italian project.

SAFETY

In addition to traditional safety systems, MRL PEGASO installations are equipped with specific devices: a frame, anchored to the end of the lift car and counterweight guide rails, locks the motor in an absolutely stable position. In addition, a mechanical securing system on the guide rails guarantees control and stability of the lift car position during maintenance operations.

IMPORTANT OPTION

The Vedo kit, consisting of a camera in the hoistway and a monitor in the cabinet, allows viewing of the traction sheave, as well as controlling the direction of movement of the lift car.

PEGASO "HYBRID"

Save with the sunlight.

The MRL PEGASO lift plant can be optionally equipped with the innovative Hybrid Kit.

The Hybrid Kit includes an additional battery pack and, in some cases, photovoltaic panels which enable the lift to be used even in the event of an electrical blackout. The plant system is therefore able to recharge the batteries by means of its own movement. This system, combined with solar panel technology, can enable the lift plant to consume from 1.5 kW down to 0 kW (under all optimal conditions).

Currently available with a rated speed of 0.62m/s, MRL PEGASO Hybrid meets a specific requirement for elevators: The optimisation of consumption while minimising costs achieved by means of using a renewable energy source.

MRL PEGASO Hybrid is in line with the new EN 81-20&50 Standards. It is available for load capacities up to 630 kg; with a single, double or triple access, in the version with automatic sliding doors, and in the semi-automatic version with an automatic folding car door and manual hinged landing doors.

The motor works like a dynamo, recharging the batteries whenever the lift car moves in its favourable direction, that is, with more than half the rated load in the lift car in the descent, and less than half the rated load in the ascent.

The system charges the batteries through the 230V single-phase mains. The motor is powered exclusively during the ride while, when stationary, the batteries are recharged through the conventional power supply, or through the use of a photovoltaic panel. The power employed varies from 0kW to 1.5kW, depending on the operation of the lift plant.

The system allows for energy recovery, as well as for the optional use of a solar panel to keep the batteries charged, thus reducing power consumption from the mains.

The variable car size of the MRL PEGASO lift allows the plant to be installed in new or existing compartments.

The energy stored by the battery is able to keep the lift in service, allowing normal ascent and descent operations, for a limited number of rides, even during prolonged power outages.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

Thanks to its reduced consumption during the plant operation, and the possibility of being powered by a photovoltaic panel, the MRL PEGASO Hybrid actively participates in protecting the environment by adhering to the basic concepts of the green economy.

NO RESIDUES

MRL PEGASO Hybrid does not generate any residues, and contributes to environmental safeguarding thanks to its gearless motor, which requires no lubrication while lasting a long time.

ENERGY SAVING

A system that reduces electricity consumption to almost zero when the platform is stationary at the landing, also thanks to time-controlled lighting, which causes the lights in the lift car to be switched off to further save energy. The lights are automatically switched on again each time a new lift call is made.
